Milestones
1960
The first traditional olive oil mill with presses, is established in the village of Lykotrafos, Messinia, by Antonis and George Karoumpalis.
1980
Dimitris and Vangelis Karoumpalis take over the family business, focusing on its growth.
1982
We acquire the first decanter machine, aiming for higher capacity and improved olive oil quality.
1985-2005
We increase production, resulting in the addition of new, high-capacity decanter machines featuring the latest technology.
2007
Our family company is renamed to KAROUMPALIS S.A. and relocates to Madaina, Messinia, while simultaneously acquiring new-generation machinery.
2010
We establish a packaging facility and create the brands of our products.
2015
We develop strategic partnerships and new distribution networks, resulting in export activity. We succeed in continuously increasing our market share.
2019
We establish a second production line, in which we exclusively collaborate with organic farmers, aiming to expand our product range and increase productivity.
2020
Respecting sustainability trends and the circular economy, we continuously modernize our quality control processes with strict standards.
2024
Today, we continue to strive for excellence in our family business, rebranding our corporate image, designing a new website and redesigning our products. As part of our ongoing equipment upgrade and development across all stages of production, we have installed the HILLER, next-generation decanter machine to enhance production efficiency.
